Celebrating Women’s Writing

Celebrating Women’s Writing brings together twelve female writers for International Women’s Day 2021. Each reads a piece of original work – from poetry and short fiction to personal essay.

The lineup includes Angela Graham, Amy Louise Wyatt, Florence Heyhoe, Jenny Methven, Maureen Boyle, Catherine Tinley, Adeline Henry, Margot McCuaig, Réaltán Ní Leannáin (reading in both English and Irish), Rosemary Tumilty, Meg McCleery and Kelly Creighton. Their pieces cover themes ranging from loss and identity to place and memory.

It’s straightforward and intimate: writers performing their own work, recorded remotely during the pandemic.

For International Women’s Day 2021: Christian Donovan reads Angela Graham’s An Irish Merchant Seaman.
