NI Festival of Writing captures conversations from the 2020 festival, organised by Merlin Arts CIC. Hosted by Tina Calder, the series features six episodes recorded November 2020–January 2021, spotlighting writers and performers from Northern Ireland.

Guests include performance poet Clare McWilliams, comedian and actress Nuala McKeever, poet Elizabeth McGeown, author Michael Wilson, poet Tim McGarry and a Women’s Panel with Clare McWilliams, Nandi Jola and Melanie Clark Pullen. Each episode takes the form of an interview or panel discussion, letting writers speak about their practice and work.

Organised online during the pandemic, the festival kept literary culture alive when live events couldn’t happen. It’s a record of that moment – artists connecting through screens, still making space for poetry and storytelling.
