Slugger TV

Slugger TV is a current affairs programme from the Slugger O’Toole political blog. Hosted primarily by David McCann (with occasional co-host Alan Meban), the series delivers regular analysis of Northern Ireland politics.

Episodes cover the full spectrum of political developments: Brexit negotiations and their impact on the UK and Ireland, the formation of the Independent Group, Alliance Party conferences, Stormont’s collapse and restoration, and election campaigns. Party leaders appear regularly – SDLP’s Colum Eastwood, Green Party’s Mal O’Hara reflecting on Seanad appointment and electoral setbacks – alongside journalists including Alison Morris (Irish News security correspondent) and commentators like Sarah Creighton and Alex Kane.

With commentator Chris Donnelly and Brendan Hughes from the Irish News.
