Stork

Stork is a series offering a personal view of Polish community life in Northern Ireland. Hosted by Ewelina O’Donnell, the four episodes aired between March and December 2016, shortly after the EU referendum.

Episode one features Jerome Mullen, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Northern Ireland, alongside tour operator Sean Skehan. Episode two talks with young people about the creative arts and what they appreciate about living in Northern Ireland. Episode three covers a Polish business conference. The final episode takes viewers out and about at Belfast Castle.

The series captures an active diaspora community at a pivotal political moment, documenting both institutional connections (consular relations, business networks) and everyday experiences of younger Polish residents. It presents integration from the community’s perspective rather than through external commentary.

Ewelina O’Donnell is out and about in this episode at the Belfast Castle.
